This pin features an attraction poster of Pinocchio's Daring Journey. Pinocchio is about to catch Jiminy Cricket in his left hand, with a burst of stars behind them. The pin is a celebration of Disneyland's Attraction Posters that first appeared in the summer of 1956, offering a visual method of enticing guests to visit the many Disneyland rides and attractions. The bold use of color is a vivid example of an art style popular in the 1950's. The original pin series totaled 17 designs, which were routinely revised and updated to remain current. Each of the pins comes on a decorative backer card that shows a wooden picture frame and turquoise Mickey heads on a blue background. Pin is on original card.
